Bayern Madness (2024)

This time the customer came with a very clear direction, he saw my Bavarian Fistfighter, and he loves all those super minimal airhead beemer builds, since airheads are pretty rear in Taiwan plus the modern technology just make stop and go that much easier. So the challenge he gave is, he want it silver, and he want it as minimal as possible with a very raw feeling to it, but still have that airhead + Rough Crafts vibe all together.
The biggest headache to tackle the electric, removing the air box and try to relocate everything to the only body work – the tank can hide. (seems like BMW made the new R12 NineT more “custom friendly” but BMW Taiwan is not delivering it yet, wink, wink, BMW Motorrad~), aside from that I decided to do an extremely narrow fuel tank to celebrate the boxer engine (which make hiding the electric even harder), and once again trying to take the vintage shaping from old beemers, from the fuel tank profile lines, to the vintage rubber seat turned our solo seat that looks floating on the tail.
Other than the above, it’s just left to find the right components to compliment the look. A set of BMW Motorrad Option 719 tubeless spoke wheels definitely is top of the list, and our usual partners like Ohlins, SC project, Beringer Brakes, Rizoma, and Motogadget once again step up with their beautiful pieces to add on this puzzle. A nice addition is DNA filters got a full package solution for this model specific, and is find enough to do special one-off engraving for this project.
The rest you can see from the photos I think.
