I've always been a big fan of Ducati Monster, especially when they came up with the 1200/821 platform, the minimal, dual section tubular frame, makes it very easy to modify to anything with a custom rear frame. Even though there's more powerful V4 Streetfighter in the Ducati line up, but the simplicity of the L-twin engine still provides a much better platform for any custom build.
This time a customer got a Monster 821 and like to have a more classic styled Cafe Racer build, I simply flipped through Rough Crafts' previous Cafe Racers, and pick and choose what I liked and try to put them together in one build, I want it to have that classic Cafe Racer lines, a bit round and elegent but still very recognizable Rough Crafts, I used the same billet CNC subframe developed for our Apex Assault, to have a very compact yet still a nod to the Ducati signature trellis frame. the fairing and tail section were both 3D printed and a hand made aluminum tank tie them together. as for exhausts, I always noticed that Ducati does this stock 2-into-1 section super nicely on both Monster1200/821 and scrambler series, the blend is so well it looks just like dual exhauts just flow together, so I decided to keep that and try to mimic that onto the 1-into-2, the exhauts was cut right after the 2 was merged into 1 and then re-spitted into 2 flowing line to link to those 2 SC-Project megaphone.
After the main design was done, it just comes down to all our colleborators' top quality parts to fill in the rest.
